→ Initiate new FB posts when great things happen (ex. First client, Medicare approval, etc.)
→ This is NOT bragging, it's about tracking your progress and showing other members in the group what is possible.

→ Have a question? Use the Search Box and Topic Tags to search for your question to see if we've already answered it.
→ You will likely get a quicker answer by using these features than waiting for a Mentor to answer

💡 ”Connections” is where you can find posts dedicated to particular kinds of practices/PP owners. For example, there’s a post for Pediatric-focused SLPs to connect, as well as a post for people who are starting practices for their retirement. This is a good way to meet other entrepreneurs who you can be accountability buddies with or to ask advice from other entrepreneurs in similar situations.
How to Get Help From The Mentors
→ Ask your questions in the group. Please do not private message The Mentors. This is a group program and it’s more beneficial to get multiple answers than one.Â
→ Attend the Monthly Q and A Call and any special events advertised to go deeper with the info and get more support
→ Please be patient as the Mentors have their own private practices and they aren’t always able to respond immediately.
How to Interact With Fellow Students
→ Be encouraging and respectful.
→ Make sure to GIVE as much as you GET
→ Sharing frustrations is okay but we want to keep this a positive atmosphere :-)
Make Connections
→ Make connections with people in your state, with similar clinical interests, service delivery models, etc.
→ Look through the Connections Tag to "find your people"
3 -Â How to Be Successful in Private Practice
Don't compare yourself to other people's private practices
→ Every private practice starts with one client - theirs did and yours will, too!
→ We are all on different journeys with different circumstances
Don't stay stuck in analysis paralysis
→ Gather enough information to make a decision, then make a decision and move on
→ If you're stuck on something, find a way to move past it
Start talking about your private practice ASAP
→ Your goal should be to get your first client as soon as possible
→ The quicker you start to build word of mouth (and confidence in talking about your practice!), the faster you will get clients
